Illustrator: Deborah Boren

Biography:

Deborah BorenDeborah Boren counts it a true blessing to illustrate her daughter’s writings. She has always loved to draw. As a teenager, she enjoyed getting alone with paper and pencil and just drawing. She drew anything—everything. As an adult, Deborah didn’t feel as though she had time to draw. “When my daughter asked me to illustrate her book,” Deborah says, “I thought, ‘Oh, my! I don’t even know if I can draw anymore.’ But her writings are Heaven sent, so I figured God would give me the ability to illustrate them.” Deborah’s main critic is her four-year-old great-grandson. “When he can tell me what is happening in an illustration, then I know I have accomplished my purpose.” Deborah thoroughly enjoys the art and the challenge of illustrating. “I thank God for the abilities that He gives His children.”
